Adina N. Mardenborough, also known as Adina Nyree, is a veteran entrepreneur, vocalist and TIPS certified bartender. She has worked in the entertainment and hospitality industries for over 10 years. Adina fell in love with planning and hosting events at an early age, hosting small and large parties at home and in event venues. As time went on, many of the arts organizations she worked with recognized her event planning talents and utilized her for planning fundraising events.
A longtime love affair with making cocktails eventually led Adina to become a TIPS certified bartender and began tending bar for private parties and events. She is responsible for the screening, recommendation and booking of Bands and Bartenders musical talent and event staff.
Adina holds a BA in Philosophy from Simmons College. After all, what would a great bartender be without philosophical wisdom and wit! Adina is also the lead vocalist of her self-titled band and recording artist, Adina Nyree, one of the many live music bands that Bands and Bartenders has available for booking.
Joseph Riley Land is a true renaissance man. He brings over 15 years of experience to the team in areas of graphic design, marketing, catering and event production. Joseph has worked with a number of artists, chefs, and business moguls that include Martha Stewart, Paula Deen, Jamie Oliver, The Dave Matthews Band, Alison Krauss and Dr. Cornell West.
After working as the Director of Operations for Pollen Nation Events (the team behind Jay-Z and Beyonce's wedding and President Obama's Inauguration ceremonies), Joseph Riley Land left to pursue other dreams.
Joe graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South with dual degrees in English and Political Science. He currently resides in Nashville, TN where he owns a pop up shop and online artisanal food boutique, Riley/Land Gourmet Pantry as well as kitchensofa, ink, a brand-imaging company in which he provides graphic design, writing and consulting services on a contractual basis.
Alena K. Powell, native of New york, has more than 20 years of experience in entertainment, hospitality, non-profit and corporate production. She is a natural in the event industry. Her warm and approachable personality, along with precision and attention to detail, has helped contribute to her success and client satisfaction.
Alena has planned and executed logistics for Tribeca All Access (at the Tribeca Film Festival), HBO, Joonbug, The Rockefeller University, as well as many social events.
Alena holds an Executive MBA in Media Management from the Metropolitan College of NY, a BA in Mass Communications from Iona College and a Certificate in Producing at New York University. She is a member of the International Special Events Society (ISES).
